Foundation for International Business Communications will hold the "Dialogue Platform – InterUNI: A City in Motion" conference

On April 16, the Civic Chamber of Russia will become the venue of the "Dialogue Platform – InterUNI: A City in Motion" conference. It is a new platform for direct dialogue and project activities in the field of urban planning and territorial development, organised by the Foundation for International Business Communications in cooperation with the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow.
Its main feature is the format of direct dialogue between researchers, businesses, and city administrations, as well as the promotion of the project at the international level. The participants will not only discuss how the face of a metropolis is changing, but also work out tangible municipal initiatives in the design lab mode: from idea to commercialisation.

The conference is being held in preparation for the International Municipal Forum 2026.
The programme is divided into tracks, each of which is dedicated to the practical challenges of a modern city.

A city in motion: transport corridors as a life support system.
How to manage megacities if drones take to the roads, and artificial intelligence takes over control of traffic lights and repair cycles? Experts will analyse smart roads and highly automated vehicles; the choice of economical materials and technologies; the "economical" economy of the transport industry – ways to reduce costs without losing quality.

Urban environmental development strategies: from inclusion to green standards.
The section is dedicated to life-changing architecture. The focus will be made on designing public spaces, new transport architecture, and reducing noise barriers and emissions. Special attention will be paid to the implementation of innovative solutions that make the city accessible to all groups of the population.

Role of InterUNI in the implementation of international intermunicipal initiatives.
Universities today are not just classrooms. The distinct advantage of interuniversity associations lies in their staff mobility, a flexible operational structure, and a high level of professional trust. Participants will discuss how the academic community can become a driver of territorial development and a "soft power" in international cooperation, connecting cities and countries through science and education.
The main feature of the conference is the practical part aimed at students, young researchers, and non–profit organisations. With the support of a technology transfer expert, participants will go over the full cycle of launching a municipal project: from task setting and product development to patenting, commercialisation, and analysis of existing support measures for startups and interuniversity collaborations.
This provides emerging teams with a comprehensive roadmap for translating their concepts into actionable urban solutions.
Representatives of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMSU), public authorities, as well as leading universities in Moscow are invited to participate.
